It’s Game Time

Tarik Black, Tiger's Foward, goes for free-throws after being fouled.

Tonight  it all begins for the Memphis Tigers men’s basketball team . The Tigers will be opening the season with their first game, an exhibiton game, against Lemoyne-Owen. It is sure to be a match up with the Lemoyne-Owen team already having a win under their belt for the season, beating Rust College 87-62 Oct. 29. Also with the Magicians returning five players from last season.

However, the Tigers have some advantages of their own being ranked in both preseason national polls, coming in No. 11 in the Associated Press poll and No. 9 in the ESPN/USA Today coaches poll; and by returning five starters as well from the previous season, according to The University of Memphis official sports website.  http://www.gotigersgo.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/110111aac.html

The fans will just have to come out and see how it unfolds.
